... surfing blogs may get boring ...
... I realized that you don't always find what you are looking for in the internet, you tried many different option in order to find what you are looking for, and you eventually find many things related but not exactly what you are looking for, and if you try a random search the results might be quite surprising, but in the end, you wasted a lot of time clicking on the next button, browsing site after site, but nothing catches your attention, there appears to be nothing worth reading, that was my case about a month or so when I was looking for blogs worth reading, in the next entries I will write about what I found as the outcome of this search, just for the sake of complaining, but when I happened to learn the concept of "The Filter Bubble", coined by Eli Pariser, I went... "WTF?" So, to sum up, go and google "the filter bubble" and buy the book from this guy, I'm gonna, it seems quite interesting, and I might learn how to save time when browsing instead of wasting it ...
Why on earth did I create fotolog account?
... about seven years ago social networks weren't what they are now, they were making their first steps in the world wide web and in people's everyday life, I don't know how many there were at that moment and I could not guess how many there are now, but who cares? Social networks have evolved and merged many features from one another in order to provide the user the ultimate internet experience combining text, pictures and links to show and share with your closest friends, and not so, every single moment of your everyday life, but who cares? There are those for the ones who like sharing pictures, those for the ones who like writing, those for the ones who like travelling, those for the ones who like giving opinions, those for the ones who like providing information, those for the ones who like whatever they like, but who cares? I am aware that it's been written everything about social networks, I haven't made any research work, therefore I am not adding anything new, I am not revealing any kind of truth or saying something you haven't heard before ...
... I created my fotolog account about seven years ago, by request of some people from whom I lost all track, I am not related to them in any kind and they have cancelled their accounts long time ago. At that time, we shared pictures even though many of us didn't have a camera, let alone, something to say, though we manage to write something anyway. However, when five thousands characters weren't enough some of us created our blog accounts in order have plenty space to write all the nonsense and gibberish we could think of, but making sure that we will be able to write it all the way through. However, the blog is too brainy a site, there are many who still have issues understanding how it works, or don't have the time or will to read such long texts, losing track with few of those who aren't regarded as friends any longer, just acquaintances. And when one picture a day wasn't enough, or twenty pictures a day weren't enough, we created facebook accounts, so that we can share all the pictures from our childhood, our last holidays or our last weekend with a little few friends and way so many strangers. Of course, as many people use facebook we could not get our messages through, therefore we created our twitter accounts to make sure that the message gets through, whatever they might be, without any picture getting in the way, and we added foursquare so that the receiver of the message knows exactly when the message was sent and where the message was sent from ...
... to round it up, the social network experience is quite the oposite of what I thought it would be, social networking is not getting people closer, on the contrary, I lost contact with many of my friends from highschool, from college, from work, and so on, I have cut all connection with the people for whom I began using social networks and most of the people that I share time via internet with are completely strangers, I don't even update my accounts regularly, not even the pictures I upload have anything to do with what I write, but who cares about what picture someone upload or what text somebody write? Certainly, I don't ...
